HOW TO OBTAIN SERVICE ON PRODUCTS
NOT FULLY COVERED FOR WARRANTY DEFECTS

1). First contact Ecoleco about any problem noted after receipt.
2). Prepay the Service fee for flat fee repair found on the Colecovision Store Page under Service. All money received for new items (if determined defective) will be refunded to your paypal account and only the return shipping portion will actually be retained (we do not pay shipping or handling fees for customer returns due to a problem arising in transit). Refurbished items are not subject to evaluation since refurbished items are not warranty items due to extensive testing conducted prior to shipment as stated in product literature and website statement. We do look at all conditions to help determine the nature of the defect, but we do do require customers to follow fully the procedure for return and evaluation as herein stated. Customers return shipping orders to an unauthorized shipping address cannot be evaluated and are waiving their right to service and our attempt to aid them in determining the nature of the problem. These items are refused and returned.
3). A Return Authorization Number will be emailed with instruction and service address return information (this is not our order ship from address!). RAN's must be present on the outside of all cartons for all returns for problem resolution or the return will be refused for return.
4). Once we receive the authorized package we will evaluate the nature of the problem. A complete and written history of the problem from receipt to the time of problem occurence must be included. If no fraud or evidence of exchange of components is present we will contact the customer immediately by email to reveal our findings after the testing and procedures are complete.
5). If defects are present and the serial numbers match those of components listed in the customer orders then we will replace all new components at no charge other than return shipping.
6). If defects are present in refurbished items matching serial numbers for the customer order then we will make repairs using the flat service fee amount submitted and return the system with repaired refurbished items and new items. We are not responsible for transit caused problems in refurbished items we provide. We certify that all refurbished items are tested a minimum of 4 hours and packaged in excellent working condition prior to shipment to all customers. Return history indicates less than 2% of our customers actually have any complaint with our refurbished or new components!
